I built bzwrth because most business owners have no idea what their company is actually worth — and the people who should be helping them often have incentives that don’t align with the owner’s best outcome.

The problem I saw

After years of working with service business owners and the M&A professionals who represent them, I kept seeing the same pattern: an owner who’d spent 15 or 20 years building something real would walk into the most important financial transaction of their life with almost no information. They didn’t know what their business was worth. They didn’t know what buyers look for. They didn’t know what questions to ask a broker, or how to tell a good one from a bad one.

Most of the “free resources” available online are thinly veiled sales pitches from brokers trying to win listings. The advice is generic, the valuations are inflated, and the owner ends up making decisions based on incomplete information.

What bzwrth does differently

bzwrth gives business owners the information and tools they need before they talk to anyone with a financial interest in the outcome. Everything on this site — the assessment tools, the industry valuation guides, the articles — is designed to help you understand where you stand so you can make better decisions about your exit.

Who this is for

bzwrth is built for owners of service businesses with $1M–$50M in annual revenue. That includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, landscaping, IT managed services, manufacturing, staffing, healthcare, and dozens of other verticals. Whether you’re thinking about selling in the next year or just want to understand your options, these tools give you a starting point that doesn’t require a commitment to anyone.
